Tours and Interactive Demos with Horse Country
The Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center (MMSC), hailed as the Gold Standard of Thoroughbred Reschooling, is an adoption center for former racehorses located in the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The MMSC uses its illustrious location to herald the athleticism of Thoroughbreds in a variety of disciplines. Using the holistic interdisciplinary Horse Centered Reschooling Program℠, horses of all levels of ability learn new skill sets and become ambassadors for the breed in loving homes and new careers.
Come visit the MMSC and learn what it takes to transition a former racehorse to a new career. Watch as the horses of the MMSC demonstrate their versatility, athleticism, and trainability before your eyes. Experiences may include learning to speak horse in our round pen, watching the horses negotiate the MMSC obstacle course, or participating in teaching a horse to jump for the first time.
