“Luke” was trained by US Racing Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas. He last raced on March 28, 2025, and was retired simply because he was too slow for the track. He was a seven-figure yearling and looks every bit the model he was bred to be!

Since retiring, Luke has lived out in a herd of geldings. He is now suitable for a low-level, non-jumping home due to some radiographic findings in his knee. For seriously interested parties, we are happy to share his radiographs and the full veterinary report.

Luke is an incredibly sweet, affectionate horse who truly loves to be loved. He’s a snuggler with a soft eye and a kind, steady energy.

He’s respectful in the pasture, easy to catch and lead, and a gentleman with both people and other horses. Under saddle, Luke has a lovely, swinging walk with great suspension. He’s steady in the bridle and very straightforward to ride. Despite being green, he’s never been naughty—he simply needs continued confidence-building.

Luke is an easy keeper with no vices. Luke is in front shoes, and on night turnout. He quietly stands for the vet, farrier, and on crossties. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, deworming, and chiropractic care.
