Adoption Success Story: Miss Whinnie

Muskego, WI. - “I'd like to thank The Secretariat Center, especially Anna Lowell, for helping me navigate through the adoption process of Miss Whinnie. It started when I was perusing the website and the horse "More Hot Sauce", a very handsome gelding prompted me to fill out the application. I toured The Secretariat Center several years ago when attending the KY3D. By the time I had completed my application, More Hot Sauce had been adopted by someone that lives in Wadsworth, IL pretty much right across the border of WI, which is where I live. Although initially a little disappointed,  I was happy to see that More Hot Sauce had found a home, and another little filly on the website caught my eye. I thought she was exceptionally cute and when I read the description of her size and sweet personality, I thought she may be the one. I immediately called the Stoltz B&B in Prospect, KY- a little outside of Louisville (My friend's lol) and planned the trip.  Anna was especially gracious in allowing me to come down on a weekend, while her parents were visiting due to my schedule at the time! Miss Whinnie was exactly as they described her.  I rode twice and the decision was easy.  She is now a Wisconsin resident : ) The funny thing is, word was spreading that I got a new horse, and a trainer I know texted me and said she heard that I got a new horse and she wanted to know the name, because someone she knows also just got a new horse from The Secretariat Center. His name is More Hot Sauce! So, I am thankful that More Hot Sauce prompted me to fill out my application, and I hope that perhaps someday in the future More Hot Sauce and Miss Whinnie will cross paths again at a competition in WI or IL. Or, who knows maybe KY?  In the meantime, I would like to express my appreciation to The Secretariat Center for making my adoption experience smooth and enjoyable and for their dedication to excellence in re-homing OTTB's. And also, a big thank you to her previous owner/breeder for ensuring her a soft landing following her racing career. We have already been in touch, and I got BABY (foal) pictures! I just love her.  She has settled in well and I am looking forward to many years of joy and adventures together.”
