Scorza is an 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding who retired from racing in 2022 after 19 starts. Since arriving at the Secretariat Center, he has settled into barn life well and has proven to be easy to work with both on the ground and under saddle.

Scorza stands quietly for grooming and bathing, does well in turnout by himself or with other geldings, and loves treats. He has been a pleasure to have in the barn.

Under saddle, Scorza has three quality gaits, including a floaty trot and a soft canter with a large stride and a natural lead chance. He has been introduced to poles and small crossrails and has taken to them well. With Scorza’s class, and lovely movement, we think he would excel in the hunter ring!
