Mare lovers, this one is for you! Polly is the quintessential definition of a mare. She loves her people fiercely and desires to form a bond with her rider. Polly has been restarted on the flat and really enjoys wearing both English and Western tack. Her balance comes very naturally because of her stocky and compact build. At this time, Polly has not been introduced to much jumping outside of a few ground poles and some small fences in the round pen. Her current desires point more toward a home that may involve Polo or a non- jumping discipline as her heart is not into jumping.

Polly would be suitable for an intermediate rider/handler.. On the ground, Polly has good ground manners, but she can be mare-ish in her behavior on occasion. As with many mares, Polly develops deeper connections with her people and would love to do the same with her rider.

Polly is currently shod all the way around but can be barefoot. She is turned out with another mare for 12 to 18 hours a day and loves this schedule. She is up to date on all vaccinations. Polly has no vices and happily stands for the vet and farrier as well as on crossties.
