Greeley and Ben is a 12-year-old gelding with an impressive racing career behind him. In 47 starts, he had 25 wins and retired with earnings of $996,888. Now retired and sound, along with plenty of downtime under his belt, Greeley is ready to begin his next chapter and shine in a second career.

Greeley is an incredibly kind and gentle horse who loves attention and gets along well with turnout buddies. Although he only arrived at the Secretariat Center on May 9, he has settled in beautifully. He stands quietly for grooming and bathing, has excellent feet, and had his first ride with us on May 11. He is very safe and steady under saddle, has 3 comfortable gaits, and was soft in the bridle. We even introduced him to a cross rail, which he did happily and with ease. He jumped a small course on 5/14 and he took to it so naturally.

While he is still very new to our program, we can already see him excelling in a variety of disciplines. We believe Greeley has the potential to make a wonderful show hunter, dressage horse, fox hunter, Pony Club mount, or trail partner.
