Black Hills, affectionately known as Echo, is a striking 3-year-old gelding who raced twice before retiring due to being too slow. Since arriving at the Secretariat Center on October 29, Echo has been an absolute gem to work with. His flashy appearance is sure to get you noticed in any ring!

Echo is smart, brave, and incredibly loveable. He ties, stands quietly for the farrier, enjoys grooming, and is wonderful on the ground. While he’s still learning about his new life and training for a second career, he’s proven himself to be intelligent, willing, and eager to please. Echo has been ridden in the arena and hacked around the property, where he even took the role of the leader. He’s adaptable and ready to thrive in nearly any career path, whether it be hunters, jumpers, dressage, eventing, or trail. If you are looking for your next all-around horse, Echo is the one for you!
