About Artie

Here is the chance of a lifetime for the right person, who lives in the right climate!!

Street Art (Artie) is a 2015 graduate of Makers Mark Secretariat Center and the Thoroughbred Makeover, where he was very successful and greatly admired. Unfortunately for his current owner, Artie has been diagnosed with Summer Pasture Airway Obstructive Disorder (SPAOD). He cannot comfortably breathe in Missouri summers, with high humidity and pollen. He’s fine during the winter and on cool days, but would be best in Colorado, or someplace with low humidity.

Artie is 7 years old (foaled May 8, 2010), is 16’3” hands high, with a generous, kind, tolerant and very quiet disposition. He is a delight to live with – good to shoe, clip, trailer, great for the veterinarian, and gets along well with other horses. He has the substance and bone of a warmblood and is absolutely sound of limb, with great feet, too!

Artie trail rides happily, in the lead or behind. He is very well schooled as a jumper, and has also done some hunter derbies. But he has very good dressage gaits and would probably excel at that.

A perfect home is the top priority – we are looking for the right owner - in the right climate - for this exceptionally special horse.
